In the 1990s a Scottish company produced the GrowMate, which became a gardening ‘cult classic’. It wasn’t just the unusual and attractive shape that made it so successful — but its actual plant growth performance. The geometry of pyramid designs traps more sunlight, making them more effective; while the tipi-style ‘chimney effect’ ensures superior ventilation.
Discontinued in the 2000s, the iconic GrowMate is now being revived as Octalia, featuring a complete redesign with improved functionality, modern materials, plus far simpler and easier assembly. And by the way, it looks amazing.
